I don't believe It's right to hate people because they are gay/ lesbian/ or transgender or that they are doing something wrong. What do you think? |
The
Bible teaches us to love people not hate them. God accepts anyone who
will turn from their sin and put their trust in Jesus Christ to save
them. The Bible says that if we have broken just one of God's
commandments we are are guilty of them all. So in God's eyes outside
of Christ we are all equally sinful. So we have no right to look down
on or hate other people.
But,
on the other hand, the Bible also very clearly teaches that
homosexuality and being transgender is wrong.
God
created marriage to be between one man and one woman and he made
females females and males males.
Here
are some verses in the Bible that show us how God feels about it.
From the old Testament
Deuteronomy 22:5 ESV
“A woman shall not wear a man's garment, nor shall a man put on a woman's cloak, for whoever does these things is an abomination to the Lord your God.
Leviticus 18:22, "You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an abomination."Leviticus 20:13, "If there is a man who lies with a male as those who lie with a woman, both of them have committed a detestable act; they shall surely be put to death. Their bloodguiltness is upon them."
From the New Testament
Romans 1:24-32
Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves, because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen. For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature; and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error. And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a debased mind to do what ought not to be done. ...
I don't know a whole lot about the subject, but I do know from the Bible that it is wrong. But so is stealing, coveting, lying, etc. which we are all guilty of. So I won't hate someone because of their sin, but I will not accept it as being right.
I hope this answers your question. If I have misunderstood your question, let me know.
